The corner suite. Two-sided glass, private terrace facing the lake.
A small hillside lodge above Lake Kivu, built from local stone and eucalyptus. Slow coffee, longer dinners, a path down to the water if you want it.
We bought the slope above Kibuye in 2019. Two years of working with local masons, woodcarvers from Bisesero, and a single architect from Kigali — and Inzu opened in late 2021.
Six suites. No more. We turned the rest of the land back to indigenous trees and a coffee garden you can walk through before breakfast.

The corner suite. Two-sided glass, private terrace facing the lake.
Set into the slope, opens onto the coffee garden.
The family suite. A second small room for children, gentle path to the water.
The top of the hill. The plunge pool faces west; sunset is the headline.
Nothing is mandatory. Everything is included for stays of three nights or more.
Dinner is at eight. Five courses. No menu — Chef Aimable cooks what arrived from the market and the lake that morning.
Most things on the plate were grown or fished within twenty kilometres. The wine list is short and well-chosen. Optional, but most guests stay.
Direct rates only — we don't list on the OTAs. Hold a suite with a WhatsApp message; we'll confirm dates and send a payment link within the day.
